Peter Auster, DMD
Dr. Auster joined our practice in 1984. Following graduation in 1980 from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine, he completed a residency at Westchester Medical Center. Dr. Auster takes at least 40 hours of continuing dental education courses each year and has completed training at the renowned Dawson Academy. His areas of interest include cosmetic dentistry, dental implants, reconstructive dentistry, pediatric care, advanced halitosis treatment, and TMJ therapy.
A highly respected cosmetic dentist, Dr. Auster serves as president of the Empire State Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, the New York/New Jersey affiliate of the Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry (AACD). The AACD bestowed upon Dr. Auster an Outstanding Service Award and named him to the Presidential Honor Roll. Dr. Auster’s other professional memberships include the American Dental Association, New York Dental Association, and Ninth District Dental Society. He belongs to the Rockland-Westchester Dental Study Group and received the Quintessence Publishing Award for Dental Studies. Dr. Auster was also named a "Top Dentist in the Hudson Valley" in cosmetic and general dentistry by his peers in 2008 and 2009.
