At Cosmetic Dentistry Associates, we understand the importance of giving back! Every year Dr. Peter Auster and our team dedicate time to volunteering and philanthropy. So much so that Dr. Auster was recently named “Humanitarian of the Year” by the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry.
This honor is awarded to exemplary dentists in the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry (AACD) who dedicate their time and efforts to helping those in need.
As a testament to our mission to give back, every year, from March through June, Dr. Auster has donated 100% of the proceeds from whitening treatment to Smiles for Life. The Smiles for Life Foundation works with dental practices to raise money for underprivileged kids in their local communities and in countries all over the world.
Charitable Donations
Our dentists and dental care team volunteer our time and talent to organizations that provide quality dental care to the underserved. We are proud participants of the following charitable groups:
- 1000 Smiles: 1000 Smiles is a volunteer humanitarian effort that serves 15,000 Jamaican children and their families each year. There is very little access to regular dental care in Jamaica. Our team works closely with 1000 Smiles to provide free dental care for thousands of people in Jamaica and St. Lucia.
- Give Back a Smile: Give Back a Smile, founded by the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry Charitable Foundation, provides free dental services to restore the smiles of domestic violence victims.
- Smiles For Life: From March through June, our dentists contribute 100% of tooth whitening proceeds to a local charity. Our proceeds go to People to People, one of the largest food pantries in Rockland, and also to 1000 Smiles.
- Donated Dental Services: We offer a complete range of comprehensive services to special needs patients and provide them with free dental care.
- Special Olympics: Dr. Auster and our team members are proud to provide dental screenings for the athletes of the local Special Olympics.
