Patient Testimonial: Restore Your Smile with Dr. Tang

Our team of dentists is highly trained in many aspects of dentistry, allowing us to offer a complete range of services for our patients. For patients looking to restore their smile following tooth damage or decay, we are happy to offer restorative dentistry services. Our team performs all aspects of the restoration process in our office so you don’t have to worry. But don’t just take our word for it–check out this testimonial from Roy Powell, a restorative dentistry patient of Dr. Frances Tang.

Patient Testimonial: Roy Powell

Roy Powell developed a tooth infection and was afraid he would lose all of his teeth. 10 years prior to meeting Dr. Tang, Roy had a tooth bonded that wasn’t fully repaired and allowed decay to seep in and cause an infection. The infection spread very quickly into Roy’s nasal cavity. Because of this, Dr. Tang recommended that he have all the affected teeth removed to avoid further damage and decay. Stopping the infection was Roy’s main goal, and he was grateful for the solutions that Dr. Tang offered him. After having the teeth removed, his missing teeth were replaced with dental implants to restore his smile.

The Benefits of Dental Implants

A dental implant is a prosthetic tooth that is fused into the jawbone with a titanium post. Both Dr. Peter Auster and Dr. Frances Tang have advanced training in providing patients with dental implants. Our patients often find that dental implants are their ideal solution to replacing missing teeth. This is because of the variety of benefits that dental implants come along with, including:

The Look:  Dental implants look exactly like your natural tooth. This means that there will be no noticeable difference between the implanted tooth and your natural tooth. Additionally, dental implants hold their shape and color. They are extremely stain-resistant due to the porcelain material that they are made from.

The Feel: Dental implants do not feel uncomfortable in your mouth or require any extra maintenance than your natural teeth. As long as you brush, floss, and see your dentist regularly, your dental implant will last for a very long time. Unlike a dental bridge, they do not require the support of your surrounding teeth to stay in place. Because their posts are fused into your jawbone, they feel just like your natural tooth.

The Function: One of the best qualities of a dental implant is the functionality that comes with it. You do not have to make any dietary or lifestyle changes with a dental implant. They are not only a comfortable solution but a durable solution as well. The extra support from your jawbone holds the tooth firmly in place just like it does all of your other natural teeth.
